Liability
Claims submitted by the buyer on the grounds of material defects become void after two years. For chromium coated hex nuts we grant a lifetime warranty for material and production defects. The chromium coating on hex nuts is protected for a lifetime against impacts, chipping, and rusting when used and cared for normally. Single parts suspected of being defect must be returned adequately packaged and with postage paid to McGard. When the examination confirms a defect, the parts will be replaced free of charge. When a warranty claim is submitted for chromium coated hex nuts, proof of purchase must also be submitted.
This is the only warranty for McGard products. The manufacturer is not bound by any other warranty obligations. This warranty does not cover corrosion on parts and/or discolorations on anodised colour rings or caps caused by improper handling, adverse weather conditions, or chemicals. The warranty does not extend to parts that have been damaged, destroyed, modified, misused, incorrectly installed, or opened by force. McGard does not warrant that the locks are absolutely theft proof nor that every set of locks has a unique coding. McGard reserves the right to modify the specifications and design.
Limitation of liability
The McGard warranty is limited exclusively to the repair or replacement of parts under the terms given above. Under no circumstances is McGard liable for any consequential damage.
Warranty
This warranty replaces explicitly all other warranties, expressed or implied, including all and any implicit warranties for salability or replaceability for a particular purpose.
